There are two turning point in my life that I would like to share it with you today.
The first one is, Onboarded at Adobe with the help of my profile with dedicated domain.
To give you the context behind is, I always love to build something and kept tried with my friends ( Building own product / serving customers that can generate money to built products ). Here are the key thing that we tried, Built a Marketplace which helps the developers to sell their own softwares / designs / applications with minimal commission ( despite the application is ready, we couldn’t get some of the free themes to list out by default ).
Lesson: The biggest lesson which I learned is, Get the right marketing strategy in-place and right co-founders is EQUALLY important ( This two made us failed before launching itself ). Along with this, I just built an simple profile to describe about my experience and the platform in dedicated domain. which, luckily impressed one of the exec at Adobe through that I got an opportunity to work at Adobe ).
The second one is, When I transformed my career as Engineering Manager from Developer, I decided to put my full dedication to build a successful product with transparent team, while doing that I had two major challenge is, to built a new team and create trust with the customer. First, I decided to come up with the metrics to built a team and trust with customer. That really worked. I had briefed him about the current team structure and necessity to refresh with the help of metrics ( Remove couple of them due to performance and behavioural issue ). Which helped the team is become an independent and transparent.
With that small team, We could delivered two products ( Bug free ) & the customer base has been increased above 40% during first 12 months of release. Since we were a contractor during that time. We had to leave due to Org change. Trust me, we could finish the knowledge transfer in JUST COUPLE OF HOURS and they impressed with the documentation that we put together while building.
I was really happy from my bottom of heart because, I did my best! This helped me after a year, when I started to search out. They hired me as FTE and given similar opportunity to take over the core product.
I truly understood how important to be true to yourself!
